Role Overview
Evaluate and annotate AI-generated musical outputs in Japanese and English, providing detailed assessments of lyrics, vocals, musicality, and production quality. You will compare samples, score training data, and use audio engineering terminology to guide improvements to generative music models.
Key Responsibilities- Listen to and evaluate AI model output across multiple music categories, with assessments delivered in Japanese and English.
- Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, adherence to the prompt, vocal quality, and production or mix quality.
- Score the quality of musical training data used to train models.
- Annotate songs using a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
- Write music and lyrics in Japanese as required by the tasks.
- Follow directions provided in English and apply audio-engineering terminology in ratings and feedback.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
- Demonstrable knowledge of musical performance, music theory, and lyric writing.
- College degree in music, with coursework or experience covering performance, theory, and lyrics preferred.
- Prior experience writing lyrical music in Japanese.
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English, able to follow instructions and converse in English.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Hourly.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Commitment: Part-time, 10+ hours per week.
- Hourly pay range: 34.72 to 62.49 per hour.
- Must be able to perform tasks in Japanese and understand directions in English, with native or near-native proficiency in both languages.
