Role Overview
Assess AI-generated music and lyrical outputs across multiple genres, using professional music production and audio engineering expertise to rate quality, vocal performance, creativity, and adherence to prompts. Work remotely with a research team to annotate samples and score musical training data in English (US).
Key Responsibilities- Listen to and evaluate AI-generated lyrics, vocal synthesis, and full musical productions across different music categories.
- Rate samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio engineering terminology.
- Score the quality of musical training data used by models.
- Annotate songs in detail, applying a structured taxonomy to classify genre and sub-genre, map song structure, and document vocal and instrumental characteristics.
- Write music in the domain language indicated by the title, and follow directions provided in English.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and or sound mixer.
- Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, music theory, and lyrics.
- College degree in music that included performance, theory, and lyric study.
- Past experience writing lyrical music in English, matching the domain language in the title.
- Native or near native proficiency in English, and ability to understand directions given in English.
- Location: Remote.
- Engagement type: Hourly work.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Time commitment: Part time, 10 or more hours per week.
Pay rate: $30.00 to $54.00 per hour.
