Utility Meter Data Analyst for AI Evaluation

Meter Data Analysts apply hands-on utility metering, customer operations, and billing system expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert training data that improves AI understanding of utility workflows and customer data management practices.

• Review AI-generated responses about metering, customer operations, and energy billing for accuracy and relevance.
• Provide detailed, experience-based feedback to help refine AI behavior and outputs.
• Create and annotate expert-level training examples based on real-world processes and tools you use in daily work.
• Document edge cases, common errors, and nuances in utility workflows and customer data handling.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in utility metering, customer operations, energy billing, or related energy functions.
• Relevant roles include Meter Data Analyst, Customer Ops Analyst, Billing Analyst, Energy Accountant, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of these systems: Oracle MDM, Oracle CC&B, SAP, Power BI.
• Strong written communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with remote research teams.
• No prior AI experience required.

• Engagement type, part-time hourly contract work that is fully remote and asynchronous.
• No minimum hours required, most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week during active projects.
• Ongoing, project-based assignments that can be performed alongside other work commitments.

Placement on specific projects depends on current needs. Candidates may be considered for future projects as new opportunities become available.

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project).
