Key Responsibilities
  • Define and standardize robotics data formats, schemas, and benchmarks for embodied data.
  • Design and iterate on data collection methods, including human demonstrations, teleoperation, and multi-sensor captures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data design with model training needs and evaluation goals.
  • Evaluate datasets for diversity, scalability, and expected impact on downstream robot learning tasks.
  • Prototype experiments, tooling, and processes to make data gathering more efficient and reliable.
  • Track practices and research from leading robotics labs and integrate applicable best practices into data pipelines.
Qualifications
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in robotics R&D, data engineering, or applied research roles.
  • Strong understanding of robotics data pipelines and multimodal schemas, including RGB-D, IMU, pose, and language-aligned data.
  • Experience in robot perception, control, or data-driven learning workflows.
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor''s or higher degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Required skills highlighted in the original posting: robotics data, robot perception, schema design, and robotics R&D.

Bonus qualifications

  • Experience at leading robotics or AI companies.
  • Familiarity with embodied AI datasets or imitation learning pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience prototyping sensors and data capture hardware.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Location: Remote.
