About this role

Role Overview

Apply clinical and biostatistical expertise to help train and evaluate advanced AI systems through rigorous interpretation of complex medical and epidemiological visualizations. This remote contractor role focuses on creating clear, verifiable reasoning assignments from real-world chart data. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts with professional accuracy, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, hazard-ratio plots, and related clinical or epidemiological visualizations.
  • Create objective, multi-step analytical questions based on detailed visual data that require quantitative reasoning and interpretation beyond basic data extraction.
  • Provide precise, unambiguous answers with comprehensive step-by-step explanations of calculations, statistical inferences, or clinical judgment in expert-level written English.
  • Use medical and biostatistical terminology accurately, including units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and chart annotations.
  • Design reasoning tasks involving graphical interpretation, comparisons, calculations, trend analysis, and data interpolation while avoiding subjective or ambiguous wording.
  • Produce verifiable assignments that support advanced AI model training and evaluation.
  • Collaborate reliably with remote project teams through written and verbal communication, incorporate feedback, and maintain consistent quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s, Master''s, or Doctoral degree, such as MD, MPH, PhD, or equivalent, in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a closely related clinical or quantitative field.
  • Two or more years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting clinical trial data, survival analyses, or epidemiological visualizations.
  • Advanced ability to interpret axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations in medical charts, including Kaplan-Meier, forest, and ROC curves.
  • Strong chart-interpretation accuracy, multi-step quantitative reasoning, and ability to construct clear, unambiguous analytical questions.
  • Ability to communicate analytical processes and clinical or biostatistical reasoning clearly in high-quality written and spoken English.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and, ideally, a second language relevant to medical or research practice.
  • Experience with technical documentation, scientific publishing, assessment or analytical task development, structured clinical or research data annotation, benchmark-question development, or technical reporting is preferred.

Work Terms

  • Remote independent contractor engagement.
  • Work is completed through remote written and verbal collaboration with project teams.

Compensation

  • $25 to $50 per hour.
