Role Overview
Use your clinical expertise in Ulcerative Colitis to develop a physician-facing survey for a specialised healthcare market research project. You will turn a detailed research brief into a clinically accurate, unbiased, implementation-ready survey that generates meaningful insights into UC treatment and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the research brief, including target cohorts, research objectives, screening criteria, and priority research topics.
- Create a complete physician-facing Ulcerative Colitis survey based on the brief.
- Convert research objectives into clear, precise, clinically accurate, neutral survey questions.
- Integrate supplied cohort definitions and screening criteria into the survey flow.
- Develop questions on patient segmentation, disease severity, treatment pathways, therapy selection, treatment switching, clinical decision-making, and unmet needs.
- Build appropriate response options, scales, follow-up questions, skip logic, and other required survey components.
- Follow provided survey-writing guidance and templates to meet required formatting and style standards.
- Conduct a final review for clinical accuracy, logical flow, clarity, neutrality, completeness, and readiness for submission.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree, preferably with gastroenterology experience or another specialty involving direct management of Ulcerative Colitis.
- Strong knowledge of the UC treatment landscape, including disease assessment, treatment sequencing, biologics, targeted therapies, remission, and real-world physician decision-making.
- Experience creating healthcare or pharmaceutical market research surveys, questionnaires, discussion guides, or comparable research instruments.
- Experience with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare market research firms, medical affairs teams, life sciences consulting firms, or healthcare insights organizations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate broad research goals into answerable questions and suitable response options.
- Working knowledge of neutral survey wording, question sequencing, response scales, screening logic, and bias avoidance.
- Excellent written communication, clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work closely from established examples and detailed guidelines.
Project Inputs and Deliverable
- Receive a detailed research brief with cohort information, proposed filter questions, and research areas.
- Use a predefined cohort and screener section that outlines participant inclusion criteria.
- Refer to completed survey templates showing the expected structure, formatting, detail level, and writing style.
- Deliver a fully drafted Ulcerative Colitis physician survey document that follows the provided templates and quality standards, ready for review and subsequent implementation with minimal additional drafting.

- Remote, hourly engagement with flexible collaboration on a focused healthcare and life sciences research project.
Compensation
- $200 per hour.
