Forward Deployed Engineer, U.S. Government

Join a dynamic team focused on developing applied AI systems that support critical U.S. Government missions. As a Member of Technical Staff, you will engage in model experimentation, infrastructure development, and deployment in high-assurance environments, working closely with strategic partners to ensure mission success.

• Build and deploy agentic AI systems from prototype to production for high-impact U.S. Government missions.
• Design and integrate LLM applications, including multi-agent systems, tool-using agents, RAG workflows, and human-in-the-loop autonomy.
• Collaborate directly with government partners in forward-deployed settings to translate mission needs into technical systems.
• Develop and maintain large-scale data curation and evaluation pipelines for model training and improvement.
• Create infrastructure for model inference, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment across frontier AI platforms.
• Ensure operational autonomy by building AI systems that leverage mission data, models, and tools.
• Oversee systems throughout their full lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, reliability, security, and iteration.

• Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous, partner-facing settings with technical and operational ownership.
• Strong Python engineering skills with experience in end-to-end ownership.
• Experience with LLMs and developing agentic systems.
• Familiarity with building or maintaining data pipelines and ML infrastructure.
• Comfortable working in high-security and high-reliability environments.

• Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government, defense, intelligence, or national security missions.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments or mission-critical government settings.

Full-time position with a hybrid work model based in Washington, D.C.

Annual salary range of $200, 000 - $350, 000, with eligibility for equity compensation and performance-based bonuses.
