About this role

Role Overview

Develop realistic, enterprise-grade evaluation tasks for AI systems used in Fortune 500 product design and manufacturing environments. Create complex mechanical engineering scenarios, author reference outputs, and write rubrics that reflect senior engineering judgment at large industrial and manufacturing organizations. Work will be calibrated to real-world design complexity, safety implications, and production scale typical of Fortune 500 accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design enterprise mechanical engineering scenarios that span complex product design cycles, multi-stakeholder design reviews, and manufacturing or regulatory certification processes at Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Build tasks across domains including product design and CAD modeling, thermal and fluid systems analysis, structural and stress analysis, manufacturing process engineering, and reliability and failure analysis.
  • Develop scenarios and tasks that involve common industry tools and stacks such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, and enterprise PLM systems including Siemens Teamcenter and PTC Windchill.
  • Apply enterprise mechanical engineering methodologies including FEA and CFD simulation, DFM and DFA principles, Six Sigma and DFSS practices, and GD&T standards to produce reference design specifications and engineering analyses.
  • Produce executive-level technical narratives and authoritative reference outputs that capture senior engineering tradeoffs and rationale.
  • Author rubrics that clearly distinguish authentic enterprise mechanical engineering judgment from generic textbook or coursework-level responses.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a mechanical engineer or engineering lead at a Fortune 500 industrial, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing company, for example GE, Boeing, Caterpillar, Ford, or Honeywell.
  • Direct ownership of Fortune 500-scale product designs, manufacturing processes, or engineering certification programs.
  • Fluency with enterprise mechanical engineering tooling and methodologies, and a practical understanding of how large-company safety standards, regulatory certification processes (ISO, FAA, FDA), and cross-functional design governance operate in practice.
  • Prior experience authoring rubrics, engineering training curriculum, or detailed design documentation is a plus.
