About this role
Role Overview
Shape evaluation tasks for AI systems used in large-scale infrastructure and construction contexts. This remote, hourly role focuses on work with significant design complexity, public-safety considerations, and regulatory requirements across major public and private construction programs.
Work may follow an International standards track, including Eurocodes and ISO, a US standards track, including ASCE, ACI, AISC, and AASHTO, or both.
Key Responsibilities- Create civil engineering scenarios covering infrastructure design cycles, multi-stakeholder permitting and regulatory reviews, complex construction management, and public works processes.
- Develop tasks involving structural design and analysis, transportation and highway engineering, water resources and environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and construction project management.
- Build scenarios using tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, STAAD.Pro/ETABS, HEC-RAS, and enterprise project-management platforms used on major infrastructure programs.
- Apply structural load analysis, geotechnical site assessment, and hydrology and hydraulic modeling under the applicable standards track, including ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes EN 1990-1998, and ISO.
- Produce reference design plans, engineering calculations, and technical narratives for stakeholders and regulators.
- Write rubrics that differentiate sound senior-level engineering judgment from generic textbook or coursework-level responses.
- At least 5 years of experience as a civil engineer or engineering lead.
- Direct responsibility for large-scale infrastructure design, permitting, or construction-project delivery.
- Fluency with civil engineering tools and methods, plus practical knowledge of regulatory approvals, environmental review, including NEPA or an international equivalent, and public-agency oversight.
- A professional engineering credential is strongly preferred, including US PE, CEng, EUR ING, P.Eng, or an equivalent international credential.
- Experience authoring rubrics, engineering-training curricula, or design documentation is a plus.
- Remote, hourly engagement.
- Qualified experts in either the US or International standards track, or both, are encouraged to apply.
$70 to $80 per hour.
Application ProcessApply by indicating your qualifications in the US standards track, International standards track, or both.
