Maintenance Planner for AI Model Evaluation

Maintenance Planners apply asset management, maintenance planning, and grid operations expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert training data that improves AI understanding of maintenance workflows and reliability engineering practices. This is flexible, hourly contract work you can do remotely alongside other commitments.

• Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and practical applicability to real-world maintenance and reliability scenarios.
• Provide detailed, role-specific feedback that helps refine AI outputs for maintenance planning, outage coordination, and grid operations.
• Produce expert-level training examples and annotations based on hands-on experience with tools, processes, and workflows used in the energy sector.
• Work asynchronously with AI research teams, documenting edge cases, common failure modes, and best-practice approaches.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in asset management, maintenance reliability, or grid operations.
• Relevant roles include Maintenance Planner, Reliability Engineer, Outage Coordinator, Distribution Operations Analyst, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems: IBM Maximo, Oracle OMS, AVEVA PI, ArcGIS.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with remote teams.
• No prior AI experience required.

• Work location: Fully remote.
• Engagement type: Part-time, flexible, hourly contract work as an independent contractor.
• Schedule: Asynchronous, no minimum hour requirement; most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• Project availability: Placement depends on current project needs. Candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available.
• Ongoing, project-based engagement that can be taken alongside other professional commitments.

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)
