About this role
Role Overview
Share your professional perspective to help identify the dimensions that distinguish legal roles across the profession. This one-time written survey draws on the independent judgment of experienced lawyers and requires no advance research or preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify the primary dimensions that differentiate jobs within the legal profession.
- Describe the main categories or values within each dimension.
- Provide concise notes and explain unfamiliar terms where useful.
- Respond in English based on your direct professional experience.
- Keep responses general and exclude client, employer, and individual names, as well as confidential matter details.
Qualifications
- At least one year of professional experience practicing law.
- Current or recent experience in the U.S. professional context.
- Experience as a practicing lawyer in a law firm, in-house role, or judicial attorney role.
- Ability to describe the occupation from direct professional experience.
All practice areas are welcome, including litigation, criminal, family, tax, and corporate law. Experience across every area of legal practice is not required. Internships, student projects, and legal-content annotation alone do not meet the practice-experience requirement.
Work Terms
- One-time written survey.
- Expected completion time is approximately 15 minutes. This is an estimate rather than a time limit, and no timer is used.
- Responses are not evaluated based on agreement with any preferred viewpoint.
Compensation
$50 for completing the survey, following selection and manual review of a complete, good-faith response.
Eligibility and Application Process
Submit a short eligibility application first. Applications are reviewed, and selected participants receive the full survey after selection.
