About this role
Use expert-level Qucs-S circuit simulation skills to design, simulate, validate, and optimize electronic circuits for a customer team while contributing to a remote, collaborative engineering environment. You will produce clear technical documentation and present results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position is a contract role supporting micro1, an AI data lab that converts domain expertise into high-quality training data for frontier models.
Key Responsibilities- Design, simulate, and validate electronic circuits and systems using Qucs-S.
- Develop detailed technical documentation and present simulation results and design decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to translate project requirements into robust electronic solutions.
- Optimize circuit designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues that arise during simulation or prototyping phases.
- Stay current with Qucs-S updates, adopting new features and best practices into project workflows.
- Mentor colleagues on Qucs-S best practices and advanced simulation techniques.
- Proven expertise with Qucs-S for electronic circuit simulation and analysis.
- Bachelor''s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in electronic circuit design, testing, and optimization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation.
- Experience integrating Qucs-S with other EDA tools or custom workflows.
- Background in analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design.
- Contributions to open-source Qucs-S projects or community forums.
