Role Overview
Apply investment banking expertise to help train next-generation AI systems focused on financial data analysis, modeling, and industry research. Your real-world input will help improve how these systems learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct company and industry research for data-driven AI training initiatives.
- Perform and review buyer and target screening, comparable company analysis, and financial modeling.
- Build, update, and troubleshoot detailed Excel valuation and transaction models, ensuring methodological accuracy and logical consistency.
- Prepare and edit client-style presentations and pitchbooks that reflect transaction scenarios and strategic rationale.
- Review sample materials for numerical errors, weak strategy, and unclear logic, then provide actionable improvement feedback.
- Explain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, deal sensitivities, and the effect of key assumptions on analytical outcomes.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly in writing and verbally for varied audiences.
Qualifications
- Experience as a former Senior Associate, preferably third-year, or Vice President on an M&A or industry coverage team at a leading investment bank, established M&A boutique, or sector-focused advisory firm.
- Substantial hands-on experience with live acquisition or sale processes and high-quality, client-facing deliverables.
- Ability to produce and review analytical and presentation materials to senior banker or client standards.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including troubleshooting, scenario analysis, and clearly presenting outputs and rationale.
- Experience with company and industry research, target screening, comparable company analysis, pitchbook preparation, transaction analysis, and valuation methodologies.
- Strong analytical review, problem-solving, attention to detail, written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify and clearly explain quantitative inaccuracies and strategic weaknesses in transaction materials.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $175 to $300 per hour.
