About this role

Role Overview

Industrial engineering undergraduates apply their process, systems, and optimization knowledge to create and evaluate domain-specific prompts and to assess large language model responses for AI research projects. This role is remote and asynchronous, focused on improving AI understanding in industrial engineering through hands-on prompt development and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop domain-specific prompts and test cases that reflect industrial engineering concepts and workflows.
  • Evaluate and rate responses from large language models, identifying correctness, clarity, and domain fidelity.
  • Research topics of interest within industrial engineering, using AI tools to assist investigation and synthesis.
  • Provide clear explanations and feedback that help improve AI performance on specialized tasks.
  • Learn new skills while contributing to AI work spanning multiple disciplines.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student in industrial engineering.
  • Comfortable working primarily asynchronously, collaborating with external AI research teams or project leads.
  • Confident that your subject-matter expertise can meet or exceed current AI systems in explaining and applying core industrial engineering concepts.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: PART_TIME.
  • Work is fully remote and asynchronous, allowing you to contribute from any location.
  • Flexible scheduling with no minimum hourly commitment required.
  • The program runs year-round, however project availability varies by domain, and placement on a particular project depends on current openings.
Compensation
