Role Overview

GRE/GMAT Quantitative Instructors apply hands-on test-preparation expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated GRE quantitative content, producing expert feedback and training data that help AI systems teach and explain quantitative reasoning more effectively. This is a flexible, hourly contract role focused on quantitative instruction only, and no prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated GRE quantitative questions, explanations, and instructional materials for accuracy and pedagogical clarity.
  • Provide detailed, expert feedback that identifies errors, unclear reasoning, or misleading explanations, and recommend improvements.
  • Create or curate high-quality examples and training data that reflect real GRE quantitative problem-solving and teaching practices.
  • Apply your classroom or tutoring experience to judge relevance, correctness, and appropriate difficulty for GRE audiences.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in GRE tutoring or test preparation, in roles such as GRE Quantitative Tutor, Test Prep Instructor, Standardized Test Prep Specialist, or Academic Tutor specializing in quantitative reasoning.
  • Demonstrated subject-matter expertise specifically in GRE Quantitative Reasoning; candidates focused on Verbal or Analytical Writing are not eligible for this role.
  • Bachelor''s degree required; Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • No prior experience with AI needed, but comfort evaluating technical explanations and following evaluation guidelines is required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: hourly contract, part-time.
  • Location: fully remote, work is asynchronous.
  • Schedule: flexible, with no minimum hour requirement; contributors typically work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week while participating in an active project.
  • Placement is project-dependent; assignment to work is based on current project needs, and contributors may be considered for additional projects as they become available.
Compensation

Up to $100/hr (depending on the project)

  • This role is for quantitative instruction only and is not open to Verbal or Analytical Writing specialists.

  • This opportunity is not eligible for CPT or OPT participation.
