Vocational Instructor for AI Model Evaluation

Career and Technical Education Professors apply their vocational teaching and technical training experience to evaluate AI model outputs, assess subject-matter content, and provide clear, structured feedback that improves the model''s understanding of workplace tasks, language, and instructional practice. No prior AI experience is required.

• Develop prompts that reflect real-world vocational and technical teaching scenarios, then evaluate AI responses for accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
• Assess AI-generated content against standard educational practice, classroom procedures, and industry expectations.
• Provide concise, actionable feedback to help refine AI behavior and improve task-specific outputs.
• Leverage your experience evaluating and guiding students, supervising practical training, integrating academic and vocational curricula, and advising on career pathways when judging model responses.
• Work asynchronously with research teams to complete assigned evaluation tasks and deliverables.

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in vocational instruction, technical education, or related career and technical roles.
• Examples of relevant real-world responsibilities include evaluating and guiding student progress through feedback and testing, developing and delivering lectures and demonstrations with visual aids, supervising hands-on practical training, integrating vocational and academic curricula, maintaining instructional records, developing curricula, and advising students on academic and career plans.
• Ability to perform asynchronous work and collaborate with external AI research teams.

• Engagement type: hourly, temporary contractor work on AI research projects.
• Location: fully remote, asynchronous work from any location where you are authorized to work.
• Hours: flexible, no minimum commitment required, most participants average between 5 and 20 hours per week.

• Pay rate: Up to $75/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm whether a given project meets your school’s CPT requirements. If your school requires a CPT course component, this work may not qualify. STEM OPT is not supported.
• You must have authorization to work on remote, independent hourly contracts in your country of residence.

Projects run year-round and open periodically across different subject areas. Placement into specific projects depends on current project availability; if you are not placed immediately, additional opportunities will become available over time.

• Create an account on the program portal and complete your profile.
• Verify your identity as part of onboarding requirements.
• Apply or opt in to relevant evaluation projects and complete any project-specific onboarding steps.
• Begin assigned tasks and submit deliverables to start receiving payment.

Work will teach new skills related to AI evaluation and provide practical ways to influence how AI is used in vocational and technical education. Projects are designed for experienced educators and trainers, and AI domain knowledge is not required to contribute effectively.
