Government Professional for AI Research Project

Government professionals apply their public-sector knowledge to improve how large language models understand and perform real-world government and social service tasks. In this role you will create and refine task-specific prompts, evaluate model outputs for accuracy and usefulness, and provide domain expertise that guides AI behavior in public-sector contexts.

• Design and develop industry-specific prompts and scenarios that reflect real government workflows and client interactions.
• Evaluate and rate large language model responses for factual accuracy, appropriateness, completeness, and usability in government contexts.
• Annotate examples, provide corrections, and document edge cases that models struggle with.
• Work independently on asynchronous tasks, following provided guidelines and quality standards.
• Learn and apply new evaluation skills while contributing expertise across multiple projects and public-sector topics.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following or similar roles: Child, Family, and School Social Worker; Recreation Workers; Administrative Services Managers; Rehabilitation Counselors; Eligibility Interviewers, Government Programs; Social and Community Service Managers.
• Experience working with government programs, social services, or administrative operations is preferred.
• Comfort participating in primarily asynchronous work and collaborating with remote research teams.

• Remote, asynchronous work, performed independently from any location.
• Part-time engagement, with flexible hours and no minimum weekly hours required.
• The program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different subject areas.
• Placement into specific projects depends on project availability and matching to your expertise.

Up to $120/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify to participate, subject to your school’s rules. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course for authorization, this program may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported.
