Geology Professor for AI Content Evaluation

About this role
Geoscience educators can leverage their expertise in Earth, Marine, and Space Sciences to support AI research through flexible, project-based work. This role is distinct from traditional full-time faculty positions, allowing you to utilize your teaching experience to evaluate AI-generated content and provide critical feedback that enhances AI''s understanding of geological concepts and academic language.
Key Responsibilities- Design job-related questions and review AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, and relevance to real-world geology instruction.
- Engage in ongoing evaluation of AI content to ensure it meets educational standards.
- 4+ years of professional experience teaching geology or closely related Earth science subjects at the post-secondary level.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering geology courses, labs, or field-based instruction.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow written guidelines.
- Professional judgment, reliability, and a high standard of discretion and confidentiality, especially with sensitive or proprietary information.
- Status: Independent contractor (not a full-time employee role).
- Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5, 20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
- Duration: The program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically across different areas of expertise. Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.

EligibilityF-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility.
