Role Overview
Generation Asset Analysts apply operational and asset-management expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert training data that improve AI understanding of energy operations workflows and performance engineering practices. This is contract, project-based, hourly work performed fully remotely. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance based on hands-on experience with industrial operations and plant performance
- Create and annotate expert-level training data derived from real-world workflows, procedures, and troubleshooting practices
- Provide clear, actionable feedback that helps models learn correct operations workflows and performance engineering considerations
- Document rationale and results in writing and collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams
- At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management
- Relevant roles include, but are not limited to, Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling or Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent energy industry positions
- Hands-on experience with one or more of these tools: AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal
- Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously
- Fully remote, part-time, hourly contract engagement rather than a traditional full-time employment role
- Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement
- Typical participation during an active project is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week
- Ongoing, project-based involvement you can take on alongside other commitments
- Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs; additional opportunities may become available over time
