About this role

Role Overview

Generation Asset Analysts apply hands-on energy operations and asset management expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of operations workflows and performance engineering practices. This is ongoing, project-based, remote hourly contract work you can perform alongside other commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and adherence to real-world operations and performance engineering practices
  • Produce expert-level training examples derived from your daily tools, procedures, and operational knowledge
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback and annotations that help refine AI behavior around workflows and asset performance
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams, documenting observations and edge cases
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management
  • Relevant roles include, but are not limited to, Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling/Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent positions
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal
  • Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams
  • No prior AI experience required
Work Terms
  • Part-time, hourly contract position, performed fully remotely
  • Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement
  • When participating in an active project, most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week
  • Placement on projects depends on current project needs, and candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available
  • Designed to be compatible with other professional commitments
Compensation

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)

  • Must have the industry experience and the ability to perform remote, independent contract work
  • Engagement is on an hourly contractor basis, paid per hour
