About this role

Role Overview

Game Developers and Designers apply their game-engine and tools expertise to contribute to AI research projects that improve how models understand real-world game development tasks. You will create and evaluate domain-specific materials and help assess model outputs using the tools and workflows you already use professionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create domain-specific prompts, scenarios, and artifacts that reflect real game development tasks.
  • Evaluate and rate language model responses and other AI outputs for accuracy, usefulness, and domain relevance.
  • Produce or adapt game assets and examples using your preferred engines and tools to support model evaluation and training.
  • Work asynchronously with research teams, providing written feedback and documented examples of typical workflows and edge cases.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of full-time professional experience using one or more of the following tools:
    • Godot
    • LibreSprite
    • O3DE
    • Stride
    • Defold
    • Solar2D
    • MonoGame
    • libGDX
    • Panda3D
    • Cocos2d-x
    • PyCharm
    • Other related game development or design tools
  • Ability to work asynchronously and communicate clearly with remote AI research teams.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: Part time.
  • Work location: Remote and asynchronous, contribute from wherever you are.
  • Hours: Flexible schedule with no minimum hourly commitment required.
  • Project placement is dependent on availability; projects open periodically and the research effort runs year-round.
Compensation
  • Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires a CPT course enrollment, these projects may not meet that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
  • Consult your DSO or your institution''s work-authorization guidance for definitive eligibility details.
Application Process
