Role Overview
Protect a high-traffic consumer platform from fraud and abuse by investigating complex, evolving content and review manipulation patterns. You will partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify root causes, assess risk, and develop specialized expertise across abuse types.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct end-to-end investigations of ambiguous cases and produce evidence-based conclusions that prioritize user trust.
- Combine data sources and behavioral signals to trace deceptive or manipulative activity and support new detection experiments.
- Create clear case narratives, detailed observation notes, and documentation that enables others to act on findings.
- Present analytical findings to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor''s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of data analysis experience, including identifying trends, developing summary statistics, and converting raw data into decisions.
- At least 4 years leading ambiguous, open-ended analytical projects from start to finish.
- Experience in fraud detection, investigations, and risk assessment, such as transaction review, anomaly detection, or exposure evaluation. Relevant backgrounds may include insurance fraud, forensic accounting, banking, or financial crime.
- Proficiency with SQL and Python, strong problem-solving skills, and efficient execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex policy concepts in plain language.
- Understanding of how fraud and abuse evolve on online platforms.
- Experience in program or policy management, customer or merchant experience, or business strategy.
- Exposure to content moderation, policy enforcement, customer support, or policy design.
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and familiarity with AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts.
- CFE or ACFE certification.
- Full-time, onsite role in Hyderabad, India.
- Must be available during India Standard Time hours.
- A private, secure workspace is required because of the sensitive content involved.
- Previous project experience with the hiring organization is mandatory.
Hourly pay of 15 to 25 per hour.
