About this role

Role Overview

Protect a high-traffic, consumer-facing platform by investigating content and reviews abuse, identifying evolving fraud patterns, and turning ambiguous signals into concrete, data-backed conclusions. You will partner with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to trace deceptive behavior, recommend detection experiments, and build subject-matter expertise across varied forms of abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct end-to-end investigations of ambiguous abuse cases, producing data-backed conclusions that prioritize user trust.
  • Correlate multiple data sources and signals to map deceptive or manipulative activity and support the design of new detection experiments.
  • Produce clear, well-reasoned documentation and case write-ups, with concrete evidence and actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Present analytical findings to senior stakeholders and translate complex policy concepts into plain language for operational teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 4 years analyzing data, spotting trends, and converting raw data into actionable decisions.
  • Minimum 4 years executing ambiguous, open-ended analytical projects from start to finish.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for analysis, with strong problem-solving instincts and efficient execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce thorough case write-ups and detailed observation notes.
  • Proven experience presenting analytical conclusions to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with how fraud and abuse evolve on online platforms.
  • Background in program or policy management, customer or merchant experience, or business strategy.
  • Experience with content moderation, policy enforcement, customer support, or policy design.
  • Some familiarity with AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts.
  • Certification such as CFE or ACFE is a plus.
Work Terms
  • Position type: hourly, full-time.
  • Work location: onsite in Hyderabad, India.
  • Schedule: must be available to work India Standard Time hours.
  • Workspace requirement: private, secure workspace only, no shared or public settings due to sensitive content.
  • Prior experience on the specific third-party/contract project that this role supports is mandatory.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate: 15 - 25 hourly.
Eligibility
  • Must be located in Hyderabad and eligible to work in India for an onsite, full-time hourly role.
  • Must have prior experience working on the same third-party/contract project that this role relates to, as noted above.
