Role Overview
Apply your family medicine clinical expertise to review, label, and validate real clinical records used to develop safe, accurate, and explainable clinical decision support. This in-person role in San Francisco supports a healthcare AI partner by ensuring annotated data and model outputs meet clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical data annotation: review and label clinical text, electronic health record extracts, and case notes, identifying diagnoses, treatments, outcomes, and other medical entities relevant to family medicine.
- Quality review and validation: audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy and consistency, and cross-check AI-generated outputs for medical soundness.
- Knowledge contribution: advise on annotation guidelines, taxonomy structure, and edge case definitions to improve model interpretation of medical context.
- Model evaluation and feedback: assess AI recommendations or clinical summaries, flag inaccuracies, and provide structured feedback for model iterations.
- Documentation and training support: help create clinical documentation standards and assist in preparing onboarding materials for new annotators.
- MD or DO degree with a primary background in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in in-patient or hospitalist care settings.
- Academic hospital experience is preferred.
- Location: on-site in San Francisco, California. This role requires in-person attendance.
- Employment type: hourly engagement.

Pay range: $170.00 to $190.00 per hour.
Eligibility- Must hold an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Must have at least 2 years of in-patient or hospitalist clinical experience.
