Exocentric Video Recorder

Capture immersive third-person video footage that helps train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on natural movement, changing scenery, navigation, and real-world activities recorded with a compatible 360-degree or action camera.

• Record high-quality third-person video across indoor and outdoor environments, including everyday activities, walking, vehicle navigation, and other activities specified in collection instructions.
• Capture continuous movement, natural navigation, changing surroundings, and varied activities and environments.
• Keep the relevant activity and surrounding environment consistently visible.
• Follow assigned camera-position requirements, recording instructions, and safety guidance.
• Securely mount the camera to the vehicle for vehicle-navigation and driving-related recordings.

• Video-recording experience, attention to detail, and camera-setup skills.
• Current ownership of, or access to, a compatible camera with at least a 170-degree field of view and 720p recording resolution.
• Compatible examples include Insta360 X3, X4, X5, or X6; DJI Osmo 360; GoPro MAX or MAX2; and other action or 360-degree cameras meeting the minimum requirements.
• Use a third-person rig that mounts the camera above and behind the subject, angles it slightly downward, keeps the full body visible, and remains stable during normal movement.
• If using a camera with less than a 360-degree field of view, position it far enough away to keep the full body and surrounding environment in frame throughout normal movement.
• Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods do not meet the required third-person perspective.
• A compatible backpack mount, vehicle mount, or harness-mounted extension system is preferred and may enable earlier collection. Examples include an Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount.

• Remote contract engagement.
• Each continuous clip must be at least 60 seconds long and recorded at a minimum resolution of 720p.
• Recording assignments require a variety of activities and environments, with camera placement tailored to each task.

$20 per hour.
