Exocentric Video Recorder

Capture high-quality third-person video of natural, everyday activities in indoor, outdoor, and vehicle settings. This remote recording opportunity supports AI training and evaluation through real-world footage collected according to detailed camera, safety, and quality standards.

You will record yourself completing assigned everyday activities, including movement through different environments and, where assigned, vehicle navigation or driving-related tasks. Footage must maintain a clear third-person view of both your full body and the surrounding environment.

• Record a variety of natural indoor, outdoor, and real-world activities following provided collection instructions.
• Complete vehicle navigation recordings when assigned, using a securely mounted vehicle camera.
• Capture clips that are at least 60 seconds long and recorded at a minimum resolution of 720p.
• Maintain the required camera position, ensuring the relevant activity and surrounding environment remain consistently visible.
• Follow all recording, quality, and safety instructions.

• Experience or capability in video recording and camera setup.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Access to a compatible camera with at least a 170° field of view and 720p recording resolution.
• Compatible examples include Insta360 X3, X4, X5, or X6; DJI Osmo 360; GoPro MAX or MAX2; and other action or 360° cameras that meet the minimum specifications.

• Use a rigid backpack, harness, or similar third-person mounting rig with an extension arm or pole when required for the task.
• Use a secure vehicle camera mount for vehicle navigation recordings.
• Mount the camera above and behind you, angle it slightly downward, and position it far enough back to keep your entire body visible during normal movement.
• Use a stable setup that preserves the required third-person perspective. Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods are not acceptable.
• If your camera has less than a 360° field of view, position it far enough away to keep your full body in frame while capturing the surrounding environment.
• Existing compatible backpack or vehicle mounts are a plus and may allow you to begin recording sooner. Reasonable costs for required mounting hardware may be reimbursed.
• Examples of compatible third-person rigs include the Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount and other harness-mounted extension systems.

• $20 per hour of approved video.
• Payment is based on the duration of footage that passes quality review and is accepted for delivery.
