360° Video Recorder (Insta360 / GoPro MAX)

Role Overview

Capture immersive, real-world 360° video that supports the training of next-generation AI systems. You will record yourself completing natural everyday activities across indoor, outdoor, and vehicle settings, providing high-quality footage for assigned collection tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Record natural everyday activities, including indoor and outdoor movement, walking, vehicle navigation, driving-related tasks, and similar activities specified in collection instructions.
• Capture varied activities and environments while keeping the relevant action and surrounding context consistently visible.
• Create continuous video clips of at least 60 seconds at a minimum resolution of 720p.
• Use the required camera placement for each task and follow all recording and safety instructions.
• Securely mount the camera to the vehicle for vehicle-navigation recordings.
• Upload recorded video and handle equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

• Experience with 360° video recording, camera mounts, video uploads, and equipment handling.
• Must already own or have access to a compatible action or 360° camera with at least a 170° field of view and 720p recording resolution.
• Compatible examples include Insta360 X3, X4, X5, or X6; DJI Osmo 360; GoPro MAX or MAX2; or another camera meeting the minimum field-of-view and resolution requirements.
• Camera setups must keep your full body visible throughout normal movement while also capturing the surrounding environment.
• The camera must be mounted above and behind you, angled slightly downward, positioned sufficiently far back, and stable enough to maintain a third-person viewpoint.
• For cameras with less than 360° coverage, the mount must position the camera far enough away to keep your entire body and the surrounding environment in frame.
• Handheld selfie sticks, chest mounts, shoulder clips, and stationary tripods do not meet the third-person recording requirement.

Equipment and Application Process

Apply if you have access to a qualifying camera. You do not need to own mounting equipment before applying. Assigned tasks may require a rigid backpack, harness, or comparable third-person mount with an extension arm or pole, or a secure vehicle mount. Owning a compatible backpack or vehicle mount is a plus and may allow you to begin recording sooner. Reasonable costs for required mounting hardware may be reimbursed. An Insta360 Third-Person Backpack Mount or another harness-mounted extension system may be suitable.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.
• Work contributes real-world video input used to improve AI systems.

Compensation

$20 per hour.
