Role Overview
Engineering professionals apply their domain expertise to evaluate and improve AI systems that handle real-world engineering tasks and language. Typical project work includes developing industry-specific prompts, reviewing and scoring large language model responses, and providing detailed feedback to guide model behavior across mechanical, electrical, and biomedical engineering contexts.
Key Responsibilities- Design and refine prompts and task descriptions tailored to engineering workflows.
- Evaluate LLM outputs for technical accuracy, relevance, and safety.
- Provide written explanations, annotations, and examples that reflect correct professional practice.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams and follow project-specific instructions and quality standards.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following roles: Mechanical Engineering Technologists and Technicians, Electrical Engineers, Bioengineers and Biomedical Engineers.
- Ability to work primarily asynchronously and independently while partnering with leading AI research teams.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Part-time, flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment.
- Work is asynchronous; you will manage tasks independently from your location.
- The program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different engineering areas.
- Placement into specific projects depends on project availability and alignment with your expertise.

Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate; consult your Designated School Official to confirm your eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
