Role Overview
Engineering experts apply their technical knowledge to create, test, and evaluate prompts and responses for large language models, helping improve AI understanding and explanation of engineering concepts across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Design and refine domain-specific prompts for LLMs.
- Evaluate LLM outputs for accuracy, clarity, and technical correctness.
- Conduct independent research on engineering topics, using AI tools as an aid.
- Document findings and provide feedback that helps improve model behavior in engineering domains.
- Learn new skills while contributing to evolving AI systems across various disciplines.
- Master’s students or graduates in Engineering.
- Comfortable working primarily asynchronously and independently.
- Confidence that your subject-matter expertise exceeds current AI performance in explaining and reasoning about key topics in your field.
- Location: Remote, asynchronous work from any location.
- Employment type: Part time.
- Flexible hours, with no minimum weekly commitment required.
- Project placement is dependent on availability, the program runs year-round but opportunities will vary by domain.
- Up to $55/hr (depending on the project)
- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects through the program. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that school requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
- Create a profile in the program and submit your basic information.

- Join and complete onboarding for projects that match your expertise.
- Begin contributing to projects and receive payment for completed work.
