Role Overview
Energy Accountants use their utility billing, metering, and customer operations expertise to evaluate AI-generated outputs and develop expert training data that reflect real utility workflows and customer data management practices. This is project-based, hourly contract work you can perform remotely alongside other commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with utility workflows.
- Create expert-level training data based on hands-on knowledge of metering, billing, and customer operations.
- Provide clear, written feedback and examples that help AI systems better represent utility processes and customer data management.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in utility metering, customer operations, or related energy functions.
- Relevant roles include Meter Data Analyst, Customer Ops Analyst, Billing Analyst, Energy Accountant, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Oracle MDM, Oracle CC&B, SAP, Power BI.
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
- No prior AI experience required.
- Engagement type, part time, hourly contract.
- Fully remote, flexible asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement.
- Typical contributor commitment when participating in an active project is about 5 to 20 hours per week.
- Placement on projects depends on current project needs, with consideration for future projects as they become available.
