About this role

Role Overview

Electricians apply their hands-on electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and code compliance expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert training data that reflects real-world electrical workflows and practices. This role is contract, hourly, and project-based, suitable to take on alongside other work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review AI-generated responses related to electrical work for technical accuracy, safety, and code compliance.
  • Create and annotate expert-level training examples based on real-world tasks, tools, and procedures.
  • Explain diagnostic steps, wiring methods, and interpretations of schematics and blueprints in clear written feedback.
  • Identify and correct misconceptions or unsafe recommendations in AI output.
  • Use knowledge of tools and equipment to validate troubleshooting approaches and material estimates.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional electrical experience.
  • Relevant roles include, but are not limited to, Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Licensed Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Residential Electrician, Electrical Contractor, or Electrical Apprentice with 4+ years of field experience.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: electrical installation and wiring, circuit troubleshooting and diagnostics, blueprint and schematic reading, or National Electrical Code compliance.
  • Familiarity with tools and software such as multimeters, conduit bending equipment, AutoCAD Electrical, or electrical estimation software.
  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.
  • No prior AI experience required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work, ongoing and project-based.
  • Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement.
  • Typical contributor time when participating in an active project is approximately 5, 20 hours per week.
  • Placement on active projects depends on current project needs, and contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.
Compensation

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)
