Role Overview
Electrical Engineering experts apply their technical knowledge to create, test, and evaluate domain-specific prompts and responses for large language models, and to research and document electrical engineering concepts that improve AI performance in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Develop domain-specific prompts and tasks for LLMs and evaluate the quality of model outputs.
- Assess, annotate, and provide feedback on model responses to ensure technical accuracy and clarity.
- Conduct independent research on electrical engineering topics, using AI tools as an aid, and produce written explanations or examples that clarify complex concepts.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams and follow project-specific instructions and evaluation guidelines.
- Learn and apply new skills relevant to AI model evaluation and domain knowledge development.
- Master''s students or graduates in Electrical Engineering.
- Comfortable working primarily asynchronously and independently, and able to coordinate with external AI research teams.
- Confident that your subject-matter expertise can outperform current AI systems at explaining and reasoning about key electrical engineering concepts.
- Willingness to learn new methods for evaluating and improving AI outputs across technical disciplines.
- Employment type: Part time, remote.
- Work is asynchronous, allowing you to contribute from any location.
- Flexible scheduling with no minimum hourly commitment required.
- Placement into specific projects depends on project availability, and availability varies by domain even though the program runs year-round.
Up to $55/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility- F-1 students may be eligible if they have appropriate work authorization, such as CPT or OPT; consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for participation.
