Role Overview
Apply your teaching and tutoring expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through realistic, high-quality educational conversations. You will take part in paired sessions that reflect real-world tutoring interactions, using your subject matter knowledge to support learners across varying needs and skill levels. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in realistic one-on-one tutoring and educational conversations with other project participants.
- Model common tutoring scenarios, including explaining concepts, answering questions, guiding learners, and providing academic support.
- Deliver clear, accurate, helpful explanations tailored to each learner''s needs and level of understanding.
- Use effective teaching techniques, active listening, thoughtful questioning, and student-engagement practices.
- Adapt your communication and teaching approach based on learner needs, understanding, and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance in a supportive, professional manner.
- Follow project guidelines so conversations remain natural and representative of authentic tutoring or teaching interactions.
Qualifications
- Professional experience as a teacher, private tutor, academic tutor, educator, academic coach, or in a similar role.
- Several years of hands-on teaching, tutoring, or academic-support experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adjust explanations for different learners.
- Experience conducting one-on-one tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or academic coaching sessions.
- Strong active-listening, patience, and student-engagement skills.
- Comfort working remotely and participating in paired conversation sessions.
Work Terms
- Contract engagement.
- Remote role open to candidates located in the United States.
Compensation
- $50 to $100 per hour.
