Education Professional for AI Research Project

About this role
Education Professionals apply their instructional, assessment, and content expertise to improve how large language models understand real-world educational tasks and professional language. This remote, project-based role involves reviewing model outputs, designing domain-relevant prompts, and advising on accuracy and relevance for education contexts. Projects are available year-round and new opportunities open periodically, with placement based on project availability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and refine industry-specific prompts to elicit accurate, contextually appropriate responses from large language models.
- Evaluate and annotate model responses for correctness, clarity, bias, and applicability to real classroom or archival tasks.
- Provide detailed feedback and examples that help researchers and engineers improve model behavior for education-related use cases.
- Document edge cases, common errors, and suggested improvements for model training and evaluation.
- Engage in occasional learning activities to adapt to project requirements across different education domains.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following roles: Career/Technical Education Teacher, Middle School; Special Education Teacher, Preschool; Archivist; Career/Technical Education Teacher, Secondary School.
- Comfort working primarily asynchronously and collaborating with AI research teams.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail for annotation and feedback tasks.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Part time.
- Work schedule: Asynchronous and flexible hours, there is no minimum weekly hour commitment.
- Project placement depends on availability, projects open periodically throughout the year.
- Up to $75/hr (depending on the project).
- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, pending approval from your Designated School Official. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for this program.

- Complete identity verification as required for project participation.
- Select and onboard into projects that match your expertise, completing any brief project-specific orientation.
- Begin contributing to tasks and receive payment for accepted work.
