Energy Industry Professional for AI Model Evaluation

Distribution Ops Analysts apply hands-on distribution system, asset management, and maintenance planning expertise to evaluate AI-generated responses and produce expert training data that improves AI understanding of maintenance workflows and reliability practices. This is a project-based, hourly contract role intended to be performed alongside other work; no prior AI experience is required.

• Use your operational experience in asset management, maintenance planning, and grid operations to assess the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated content.
• Create expert-level training examples and annotations based on real-world tools, processes, and workflows you use on the job.
• Provide clear, detailed feedback to AI research teams to help refine model outputs for maintenance and reliability engineering scenarios.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project guidelines and quality standards.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in asset management, maintenance reliability, or grid operations.
• Relevant job titles include Maintenance Planner, Reliability Engineer, Outage Coordinator, Distribution Ops Analyst, or equivalent energy-industry roles.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems: IBM Maximo, Oracle OMS, AVEVA PI, ArcGIS.
• Strong written communication, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous review process.
• No prior AI or machine learning experience required.

• Engagement type: Part-time, hourly contract work.
• Location: Fully remote.
• Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, no minimum weekly hour requirement; when active on a project, most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
• This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement you can perform alongside other commitments.
• Placement on a project depends on current project needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)

• You must be authorized to work as an independent contractor under applicable law. This role is hourly contract work rather than a traditional employment position.
