Role Overview
This study asks experienced dishwashers to describe the tasks, equipment, and workflows of their daily work to help update O*NET, the U.S. government''s occupational framework. The role focuses on cleaning dishes, kitchen and food preparation equipment, and utensils.

Key Responsibilities- Complete a one-time online survey or interview about your day-to-day work as a dishwasher, up to 30 minutes in length.
- Possibly complete an optional follow-up survey, task, or short interview later, which would be paid separately.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working specifically as a dishwasher.
- Currently working as a dishwasher, or worked in that role within the last 12 months.
- Direct, practical knowledge of daily kitchen tasks, equipment, and workflow used by dishwashers.
- Location, United States, remote participation.
- Employment type, hourly engagement.
- Primary participation is a one-time online activity lasting up to 30 minutes. An optional follow-up activity may be requested later and would be paid separately.
- How to participate, complete the online survey or interview as directed. Completion of the one-time activity constitutes your participation; if selected for follow-up you will be contacted with details and separate payment information.
- $16.00 per hour for the paid activities included in this study. Optional follow-up activity will be compensated separately.
- Applicants must be U.S.-based.
- Not eligible if your primary role is a cook or food preparation worker (SOC 35-2014.00, 35-2021.00), a server, host, or other front-of-house staff, or a kitchen or restaurant manager.
