Digital Illustrator for AI Research

About this role
Digital Illustrators apply their 2D graphics skills to train and evaluate AI systems by producing, reviewing, and prompting on visual assets. In this role you will use your hands-on experience with raster and vector tools to help AI better understand real-world professional tasks in digital illustration and graphic production.
Key Responsibilities- Apply domain expertise to improve how AI models interpret and generate visual content.
- Develop domain-specific prompts and instructions for model evaluation and generation.
- Evaluate LLM and multimodal model responses related to illustration tasks, providing structured feedback.
- Create and review 2D graphic examples, annotations, and other assets used in AI research and evaluation.
- At least 1+ year of professional experience using one or more of the following tools: GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, LibreSprite.
- Experience with other 2D graphics tools is also relevant.
- Ability to work asynchronously and communicate effectively with distributed AI research teams.
- Location: Remote, work independently from anywhere.
- Employment type: Part time.
- Asynchronous, flexible hours with no minimum hourly commitment.
- The program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.
- Placement into projects depends on project availability.

Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
