Role Overview
Cybersecurity Experts apply hands-on security engineering and offensive security skills to evaluate and improve large language model behavior in security-related scenarios. In this role you will design security-focused prompts, assess model responses, and document findings that help refine AI performance on domain-specific security tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop domain-specific prompts and scenarios related to cybersecurity.
- Evaluate and rate LLM responses for correctness, safety, and relevance in security contexts.
- Document issues, edge cases, and recommended improvements for model behavior.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project teams and follow provided guidelines for annotation and evaluation.
- Perform additional project tasks as assigned, related to improving model performance in cybersecurity domains.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in security engineering or offensive security.
- Relevant roles include Security Engineer, Penetration Tester, Red Team Engineer, Malware Analyst, Threat Hunter, Threat Intelligence Analyst, Offensive Security Engineer, Vulnerability Researcher, or Security Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit Framework, BloodHound, Impacket, Nessus, or Hashcat.
- Comfortable learning new skills and contributing to applied AI research across security and related disciplines.
- Remote, asynchronous engagement, work independently from any location.
- Part-time employment type.
- Flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment required.
- The program runs year-round, however project availability will vary by domain and placement onto specific projects depends on that availability.
- Up to $65/hr (depending on the project)
- F-1 students with valid CPT or OPT authorization may be eligible to participate, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
