Role Overview
Customer Operations Analysts apply hands-on experience with utility metering, customer operations, and energy billing systems to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert training data. You will assess AI responses for accuracy and relevance against real-world utility workflows and customer data management practices, helping improve AI understanding of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities- Use practical knowledge of utility metering, customer operations, and billing systems to review AI-generated answers and annotations.
- Provide detailed feedback on correctness, relevance, and real-world applicability of AI outputs.
- Create and validate expert-level training examples based on the tools and processes you use in daily work.
- Work asynchronously with AI research teams to clarify domain nuances and support iterative improvements.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in utility metering, customer operations, or related energy functions.
- Relevant roles include Meter Data Analyst, Customer Ops Analyst, Billing Analyst, Energy Accountant, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following systems: Oracle MDM, Oracle CC&B, SAP, Power BI.
- Strong written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
- No prior AI experience is required.
- Engagement is part-time, hourly contract work that is fully remote.
- Schedule is flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement.
- Most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
- Placement and assignment to specific projects depend on current project needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as opportunities arise.

- This engagement is structured as contract, hourly work rather than a traditional employee role.
- Work is remote; ensure you have reliable internet access and the ability to work asynchronously.
