Role Overview
Completions Engineers apply hands-on drilling and completions expertise to evaluate AI-generated responses and to create expert training data that improve AI understanding of drilling workflows, well planning, and energy data systems.
Key Responsibilities- Use professional experience with drilling operations, well planning, and energy data systems to assess AI-generated content for technical accuracy and relevance
- Create expert-level training data derived from the real tools and workflows you use day to day
- Provide clear, actionable written feedback to AI research teams to help refine model outputs for drilling and completions scenarios
- Work independently and asynchronously to complete evaluation and annotation tasks
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in drilling, completions, or related energy operations, in roles such as Drilling Engineer, Completions Engineer, Well Cost Analyst, Drilling Superintendent, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: WellView, SAP, ComboCurve, AVEVA PI
- Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment
- No prior AI experience required
- Engagement type: hourly contract, part-time
- Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement
- Typical contributor commitment when a project is active: approximately 5 to 20 hours per week
- Project-based placement, assignments depend on current project needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available
