About this role

Role Overview

Civil Engineering experts apply their technical knowledge and communication skills to evaluate and improve large language models for high-stakes business contexts. You will help shape model outputs used to create board-level presentations, strategic business cases, investor materials, client proposals, and executive communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and refine domain-specific prompts for large language models.
  • Evaluate and rate LLM responses for technical accuracy, clarity, and suitability for executive audiences.
  • Translate complex engineering concepts and data into clear, persuasive presentations and narratives for board or executive review.
  • Develop strategic business cases, investor-style presentations, and client proposals informed by engineering analysis and data-driven storytelling.
  • Research topics independently with support from AI tools to inform evaluations and deliverables.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with multidisciplinary AI research teams to iterate on evaluation criteria and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in civil engineering.
  • Proven ability to convert technical material into executive-level presentations and persuasive business communications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and applying data-driven storytelling techniques.
  • Comfort and capacity to work asynchronously with AI research teams and remote collaborators.

  • Location: Remote, work independently from your chosen location.
  • Employment type: Part time.
  • Schedule: Flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment required.
  • Project cadence: The program operates year-round, with projects that vary by domain and timing.
  • Placement: Assignment to specific projects depends on current project availability.
Compensation
  • Up to $105/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be able to participate, subject to your school and Designated School Official guidance.
  • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for participation.
