About this role

Apply 3D character animation and hand anatomy expertise to help train AI systems through precise hand and finger landmark annotation across images and video frames.

Role Overview

This remote contract role focuses on MediaPipe-style hand topology. You will produce high-quality annotations that help models interpret hand structure, movement, pose, and partially obscured anatomical features. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Annotate hand and finger landmarks and keypoints in images and video frames using strict MediaPipe-style topology and project guidelines.
  • Accurately identify and mark the wrist, MCP, PIP, DIP, fingertips, and thumb CMC and IP joints.
  • Infer and place landmarks when fingers or joints are partially occluded by objects, other fingers, or hand orientation.
  • Interpret hands from varied angles, rotations, poses, and perspectives with strong visual-spatial accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent quality across large data volumes while meeting defined tolerance thresholds.
  • Review visual feedback, revise annotations, and meet rigorous quality assurance standards.
  • Follow established annotation protocols and documentation processes throughout the assignment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in hand and finger anatomy or biomechanics, including joint structure and articulation.
  • Background in 3D character animation, skeletal rigging, pose estimation, or computer vision annotation workflows.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in repetitive, precision-focused work.
  • Advanced visual-spatial reasoning, including the ability to interpret partially visible or occluded anatomical landmarks.
  • Experience annotating keypoints or skeletons, or performing quality control on visual datasets, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow detailed technical annotation protocols and guidelines.
  • Experience with quality assurance, data review, or annotation correction in animation, computer vision, or a related field is preferred.
Work Terms
  • Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
  • $15 to $80 per hour.
