Architect for CAD & Construction Documentation

About this role
Provide expert architectural CAD and construction documentation to a customer project as a remote contractor, producing high-quality, real-world inputs that will also be used to train next-generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required, your domain knowledge in architectural drawings, GD&T, electrical schematics, and PCB layouts is the primary qualification. The work supports a customer engagement managed by micro1, an AI data lab focused on converting subject matter expertise into training data and evaluations for frontier models.
Key Responsibilities- Create detailed floor plans and elevation sets that meet project requirements.
- Develop comprehensive 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural and engineering use.
- Prepare accurate Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, GD&T, callouts for manufacturing documentation.
- Produce and annotate multi-sheet electrical schematics to industry standards.
- Design and review PCB layouts, incorporating manufacturability and functionality best practices.
- Collaborate through iterative exchanges to clarify requirements and resolve technical questions.
- Deliver complete documentation packages aligned with project milestones and quality expectations.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in architectural CAD and construction documentation.
- Required skills, explicitly: Floor Plans, Elevation Sets, CAD Drawings, GD&T Callouts, Multi-Sheet Electrical Schematics, PCB layouts.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools for 2D and 3D CAD and PCB layout design.
- Proven ability to generate and interpret GD&T callouts and complex schematic diagrams.
- Experience developing multi-sheet electrical schematics and integrating PCB layouts within building projects.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multi-document sets.
- Advanced communication skills in English.
- Background in collaborating on remote, cross-functional projects is a plus.
