Bring advanced character-rigging expertise to AI training work focused on expressive, animation-ready hand and character design. You will contribute real-world technical judgment and feedback that helps improve how next-generation AI systems learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities- Create, implement, and refine hand-focused character rigs for animation and simulation in 3D environments.
- Develop precise weight painting, joint placement, and deformation solutions for realistic or stylized hand movement.
- Collaborate with creative and technical stakeholders to align rig functionality with project objectives and artistic direction.
- Diagnose and resolve rigging issues, improving usability and animation fluidity.
- Document rigging processes, workflows, and tool usage to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- Provide clear written and verbal feedback on rigging assignments and participate in remote discussions as needed.
- Demonstrated character-rigging expertise, including portfolio or sample work showing complex hand and finger articulation.
- Advanced proficiency with Maya, Blender, or comparable 3D software.
- Strong understanding of hand anatomy and the ability to translate it into functional animation rigs.
- Experience with weight painting, joint placement, deformation solutions, and rigging troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, clear documentation habits, and collaborative problem-solving ability.
- Experience delivering remote creative or technical project work.
- Rigging-pipeline scripting or automation experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented approach and interest in character mechanics and user-focused design.
- Remote contract engagement.
- $15 to $80 per hour.
