About this role

Role Overview

CAD Drafters apply CAD and 3D modeling expertise to help improve how AI systems understand and perform real-world CAD tasks. In this role you will create and review CAD-related prompts and outputs, evaluate AI responses for technical accuracy, and contribute domain knowledge to AI research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop domain-specific prompts, examples, and tasks that reflect real CAD workflows.
  • Evaluate large language model and AI outputs for technical correctness, completeness, and usability in CAD contexts.
  • Produce or revise CAD drawings, models, and technical artifacts as needed for evaluation tasks.
  • Work independently with asynchronous research teams to deliver reviews and feedback on schedule.
  • Participate in onboarding and project-specific instructions prior to starting work on assignments.
Qualifications
  • At least 1+ years of full-time professional experience using one or more of the following tools: AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoDesk Inventor Pro, Rhino 3D, LibreCAD, SolveSpace, or comparable CAD/3D modeling software.
  • Familiarity with technical drawing standards and practical CAD workflows.
  • Ability to work asynchronously, manage your own time, and collaborate with remote research teams.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, work independently from any location.
  • Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment.
  • Engagement model: Asynchronous project work, with onboarding for each project as required.
  • Project availability: The program operates year-round, and new project opportunities open periodically. Placement into specific projects depends on current project availability.
Compensation
  • Up to $125/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility
  • F-1 students may be eligible to participate if they qualify for CPT or OPT. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm whether participation meets your school requirements. If your school requires CPT to be tied to a course, this program may not qualify. STEM OPT is not supported.
