Role Overview

Apply expert bioinformatics and medicinal chemistry knowledge to analyze and curate scientific data that will be used to train next-generation AI systems. In this contractor role you will provide domain-specific inputs, validate model outputs for scientific accuracy, and deliver actionable feedback to improve AI performance. No prior experience in AI is required; deep subject matter expertise is the priority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex datasets related to medicinal chemistry using advanced bioinformatics methodologies.
  • Curate, annotate, and validate datasets relevant to drug discovery and molecular analysis.
  • Provide detailed scientific content and subject matter expertise to support AI model development and training.
  • Evaluate and synthesize findings from biological, chemical, and clinical data sources.
  • Offer input on experimental design and interpretation of medicinal chemistry data.
  • Assess AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, relevance, and reliability.
  • Deliver comprehensive written feedback and actionable recommendations for model improvement.
Qualifications
  • Required skill: medicinal chemistry.
  • Advanced degree preferred, for example PhD or MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of medicinal chemistry concepts, including structure activity relationships and drug design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience handling and interpreting large scale omics or cheminformatics datasets.
  • Familiarity with common bioinformatics and cheminformatics tools and languages, for example Python, R, RDKit, KNIME.
  • Strong scientific communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex ideas and technical concepts in writing.
  • Proven track record contributing to research at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and data science.
  • Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary or remote project environments is advantageous.

Compensation

Pay range: $90.00 to $120.00 per hour.
