About this role

Role Overview

Aviation professionals apply their operational, safety, and regulatory expertise to evaluate AI-generated content, create realistic prompts, and deliver clear, structured feedback that improves model behavior for aviation tasks and language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop prompts that reflect real-world aviation scenarios and tasks.
  • Evaluate AI model responses for technical accuracy, practical usefulness, safety, and appropriate tone.
  • Document structured feedback and examples that help models better match workplace procedures and terminology.
  • Assess content related to flight operations, airfield management, maintenance coordination, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following roles: Airline Pilot, Copilot, Flight Engineer, Commercial Pilot, Airfield Operations Specialist.
  • Relevant real-world responsibilities that prepare you to evaluate and train AI, such as:
    • Operating and managing aircraft safely by following flight plans, monitoring systems, responding to changing conditions, and performing required inspections.
    • Coordinating air and ground activities through communication with air traffic control, dispatch, maintenance, and airfield personnel to support safe and efficient operations.
    • Maintaining safety and regulatory compliance by inspecting aircraft and airfields, enforcing procedures, managing emergencies, and ensuring accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Comfort with asynchronous, independent work and collaborating with AI research teams on evaluation tasks.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, work independently from any location.
  • Schedule: Asynchronous and flexible hours, no minimum weekly commitment required, most contributors average 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • Engagement: Part-time, hourly, temporary projects. Placement into specific projects depends on project availability; the program runs year-round and additional projects open periodically.
Compensation
  • Pay: Up to $100/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be able to participate, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet those requirements.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
  • Consult the program help documentation or your school representative for details about acceptable work authorizations.
Application Process
  • Create a contributor account with the program and complete identity verification.
  • Review and complete the onboarding steps for projects that match your expertise.
  • When assigned to a project, begin asynchronous tasks, submit evaluations, and receive payment according to the project terms.
