Ambulance Dispatcher - Emergency Communications Specialist

Role Overview

Apply your ambulance dispatch and emergency communications expertise to help train next-generation AI systems using realistic, protocol-driven emergency response scenarios. This remote contract role centers on assessing urgent requests, prioritizing needs, and communicating clear dispatch information across radio, phone, and chat channels. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and triage emergency requests through radio, phone, and chat, using standardized protocols and checklists.
• Assess urgency and incident type, prioritize simultaneous requests, and allocate resources appropriately in real time.
• Document incoming communications and dispatch decisions accurately and clearly.
• Route information and dispatch instructions to relevant responders in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Manage multiple inbound and outbound communication streams while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Contribute domain expertise to data-quality standards and the evaluation of protocols used for AI training.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions that improve the realism and accuracy of emergency communications simulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in ambulance or emergency dispatch operations, including incident triage and prioritization.
• Ability to stay composed and multitask effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills across radio, phone, and chat.
• Experience managing multiple communication channels at the same time.
• Proficiency using standardized decision-making protocols and checklists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Dispatcher or coordinator experience is highly valued. Formal certification is not required.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $30 to $55 per hour.
