Recreational Therapist for AI Model Evaluation

Recreational Therapists apply clinical and program-design expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and help improve model performance for therapeutic contexts. No prior AI experience is required. You will use your hands-on knowledge of therapeutic activities, documentation, and patient care language to judge AI responses and provide clear, structured feedback.

• Evaluate outputs from AI models that produce content related to recreational therapy.
• Assess the accuracy, relevance, and safety of model-generated prompts, plans, and patient-facing materials.
• Develop and refine prompts that reflect real-world therapeutic scenarios and objectives.
• Provide clear, structured feedback and examples that help models better understand workplace tasks, terminology, and best practices.
• Work asynchronously and independently to complete assigned review and annotation tasks.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a recreational therapist or in closely related roles.
• Relevant real-world responsibilities that prepare you to evaluate and train AI models, such as:
• Designing and implementing therapeutic activities, including sports, music, and art, tailored to patients'' physical and psychological needs to support rehabilitation and community integration.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with medical teams to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Ability to perform asynchronous work with research teams and provide timely, well-documented feedback.
• No prior AI development experience required, but attention to detail and clear written communication are essential.

• Engagement is remote and asynchronous; perform tasks from your location.
• Part-time, project-based work that can be done alongside primary employment.
• Hours are flexible with no minimum commitment, most participants average 5 to 20 hours per week.
• Placement into specific projects depends on availability; the program runs year-round and new projects open periodically.

• Up to $75/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students with CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility, since some schools require an academic course for CPT and the program may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported.
