Role Overview
Apply deep aerodynamics and CFD expertise to create, review, and distill technical content and evaluations used to train next-generation AI systems. This contractor role produces high-fidelity domain input, peer reviews, and technical documentation that shape how models learn, reason, and perform.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret complex aerodynamic problems, providing detailed technical feedback and nuanced explanations relevant to aerospace and mechanical engineering.
- Develop, review, and distill advanced technical documentation on aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and thermofluids, ensuring clarity and precision for varied audiences.
- Contribute to educational and technical materials designed to enhance the learning and reasoning capabilities of AI models.
- Participate in rigorous peer review processes, offering critical analysis, constructive feedback, and quality assurance on technical content and workflows.
- Collaborate remotely with other subject matter experts to align on technical standards, workflow optimization, and best practices for knowledge distillation.
- Translate complex experimental and theoretical results into actionable knowledge and labeled training data for AI development, including presentations and technical discussions.
- Required skills: aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), technical writing, verbal communication, peer review, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, thermofluids, experimental methods, technical documentation, knowledge distillation, collaboration, remote teamwork, workflow optimization, critical analysis.
- Preferred education and experience: PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a specialization in thermofluids or aerodynamics, or a BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering plus at least 8 years in aerospecific roles.
- Proven track record producing technical reports, articles, or documentation that distill complex concepts.
- Demonstrated success in peer review, technical evaluation, or consultancy roles involving critical analysis and workflow improvement.
- Experience collaborating effectively in remote or distributed expert networks.
- No prior experience in AI is required; strong domain knowledge and interest in contributing to AI training are sufficient.
