Apply adolescent eating disorder expertise to help improve AI systems through careful, clinically grounded evaluation of complex cases. This remote contract role focuses on delivering clear written assessments that support accurate reasoning and safe decision-making. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Review adolescent eating disorder cases and provide detailed written evaluations of clinical and medical risk.
- Apply DSM-5 criteria and validated tools including EDE-Q and SCOFF to characterize clinical presentations.
- Assess medical stability and identify cases requiring urgent escalation using recognized frameworks such as MEED.
- Evaluate whether treatment approaches, including FBT and CBT-E, are appropriate for the adolescent''s clinical stage.
- Identify comorbidities and safeguarding concerns that affect severity or intervention needs.
- Produce clear, actionable guidance for non-specialists using current clinical standards and guidelines.
- Benchmark clinical judgments against peers and established guidance to support consistency and quality.
- 3 to 5+ years of post-qualification experience working directly with adolescent patients in a clinical setting.
- Specialist experience in eating disorders, child or adolescent psychiatry or psychology, or adolescent or paediatric medicine focused on eating disorders.
- An active clinical licence or registration in good standing.
- Recent experience managing an adolescent caseload, or active clinical practice within the past two years.
- Proficiency with DSM-5, EDE-Q, SCOFF, and other evidence-based assessment and diagnostic frameworks.
- Familiarity with medical risk-assessment protocols such as MEED and interventions including FBT or CBT-E.
- Strong clinical reasoning, child and adolescent clinical-safety expertise, clinical risk assessment, severity staging, intervention judgment, and disordered-eating specialization.
- Excellent written English, native-level or equivalent to IELTS 7.5+ with writing 7.0+, TOEFL 100+, or Cambridge C1 to C2.
- Desirable experience includes adolescent medical stabilization, formal FBT or CBT-E training, or expertise with co-occurring conditions such as self-harm or anxiety.
- Remote, independent contractor engagement.
- Applicants should be ready to begin promptly. Selected candidates are expected to start initial tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing the required setup process.
$45 to $95 per hour.
