Role Overview
Capture, execute, and document realistic, multi-step finance and data analyst workflows that train next-generation AI systems. This contract role focuses on producing high-fidelity examples of tasks such as data pulls, reconciliation, modeling, reporting, and analysis using real tools, with a strong focus on accuracy, realism, and data security.
Key Responsibilities- Design and document detailed, multi-step finance and data workflows that reflect authentic analyst tasks, including data extraction, reconciliation, model building, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
- Independently perform each workflow using real tools such as Snowflake and Excel or Google Sheets, capturing every step, decision point, and the inputs and outputs produced.
- Include adjacent collaboration and communication steps naturally, for example Slack threads for cross-functional coordination or shared documents for review and distribution.
- Provide comprehensive documentation for each scenario in the annotation platform, including step-by-step instructions, rationale for decisions, formulas, SQL queries, and illustrative screenshots or results.
- Identify and flag ambiguous or edge-case situations for the project team, and incorporate reviewer feedback to improve workflow coverage and correctness.
- Maintain strict data security and privacy practices in all workflow execution and documentation.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, accounting, financial analysis, or data analytics, with practical use of advanced spreadsheets and data warehousing tools such as Snowflake.
- Ability to write robust SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and ad hoc analyses.
- Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability in producing financial workflows and documentation.
- Strong written communication skills, able to explain complex steps and context to annotators unfamiliar with the work.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace as part of finance and data workflows.
- Preferred but not required: experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or BI dashboards such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Background in data annotation, process documentation, or quality assurance is an advantage.
- No prior experience in AI is required, domain expertise is the primary qualification.
- Engagement type, contractor, freelance work performed remotely.
- Assignments completed via the company annotation platform, with flexible, self-directed scheduling and defined project deliverables.
- Work requires performing real workflows in real tools and delivering clear documentation for each scenario.
Pay range: $14 to $36 per hour.
